Export of gold from Georgia amounted to 2.7 tons

Gold exports from Georgia in 2020 amounted to 2.7 tons, which is 3.8% more than in the previous year, the export of copper ore and concentrate increased by 15.5% - to 431.8 thousand tons, Interfax was told at the National Statistics Service. The total volume of exports of these products in monetary terms last year reached $ 827 million, which is 14.2% more than in 2019. At the same time, the share of proceeds from supplies to the external market of gold and copper amounted to 24.7% in the country's total exports against 19.2% a year earlier. RMG Gold (formerly LLC Kvartsit), the only one in Georgia, a producer and exporter of gold, - by 34%, to $ 97.6 million.

 

As reported, in 2019, exports from Georgia gold - 2.6 tons (a decrease of 10.3%).
